Chocolate Matcha Superfood Smoothie

This smoothie combines antioxidant-rich cacao and vibrant matcha with a powerhouse of superfoods - maca, mesquite, and lucuma - for a drink that’s as delicious as it is functional. Sweetened naturally with raw local honey and thickened with frozen banana, it’s a wholesome pick-me-up perfect for mornings or post-workout refueling.

Recipe by Clean Made Great

    • 1 cup almond milk

    • 5 tsp cacao powder

    • 1 tbsp ground flax seeds

    • ⅛ tsp vanilla powder

    • Sea salt, a pinch

    • Unflavored plant-based protein

    • ¼ tsp matcha powder

    • 1 tsp raw local unfiltered honey

    • ½ frozen banana

    • 1 tsp gelatinized maca powder

    • 1 tsp mesquite powder 

    • 1 tsp lucuma powder

    • 1 tbsp plain coconut yogurt

    • ¼ tsp matcha powder

    1. Blend the Liquids & Powders. First, add the non-dairy & dry ingredients to a high-speed blender. Blend these ingredients until smooth.

    2. Blend the Frozen Banana. Next, add in the frozen banana. Blend until smooth & creamy. If needed, you can pause the blender, remove the lid, & scrape down the sides so that everything is fully incorporated. You may need to add a little more liquid depending on how thick/thin you like your smoothies.

    3. Glass. For an extra touch, swirl some coconut yogurt around the inside of the glass with a pinch of matcha powder.

    4. Serve. Pour into the glass & enjoy!
