Chocolate Pear Date Protein Smoothie

Blended frozen pears give this protein smoothie a dreamy, silky consistency, and with nutrient-rich cacao powder and one naturally sweet Medjool date, it’s basically a dessert in a glass (without any of the extra nonsense)!

Recipe by Clean Made Great

    • ¾ cup unsweetened non-dairy milk

    • 1 tbsp ground flax seeds

    • 5 tsp raw cacao powder

    • 1 serving unflavored plant-based protein

    • ⅛ tsp vanilla powder or ¼ tsp vanilla extract

    • 1 pitted Medjool date

    • ¼ tsp Ceylon cinnamon

    • Sea salt, a pinch

    • ½–1 frozen pear, preference

    1. Blend the Liquids, Powders, & Date. First, add the unsweetened non-dairy milk, dry ingredients, and the pitted Medjool date. Blend until completely smooth and not chalky or gritty.

    2. Blend the Frozen Pear. Next, toss in the frozen pear. Blend until a thick, creamy, and smooth consistency is achieved. If desired, add a splash of liquid to obtain your preferred smoothie texture.

    3. Serve. Pour into a chilled glass and enjoy!
