Chocolate Superfood Protein Smoothie

This Chocolate Superfood Protein Smoothie recipe is the best post-workout breakfast refuel. It’s made with raw cacao, vanilla plant-based protein powder, nourishing seeds, a variety of superfoods, frozen banana, and electrolyte-rich coconut water.     • ½ cup almond milk

    • ½ cup coconut water

    • 1 tbsp ground flax seeds

    • 5 tsp raw cacao powder

    • 1 serving vanilla plant-based protein powder

    • Celtic sea salt, a pinch

    • ½–1 frozen banana, preference

    SUPERFOODS

    • 1 tsp gelatinized maca powder

    • 1 tsp mesquite powder 

    • 1 tsp lucuma powder

    • 1 tbsp tocotrienols

    1. Blend the Liquids and Dry Ingredients. First, add the liquids and dry ingredients to a high-speed blender. Blend until smooth.

    2. Blend the Frozen Banana. Next, add the frozen banana. Begin blending on the lowest setting, then gradually increase the speed as the banana starts to break down and combine with the other ingredients until the mixture is creamy. If you prefer a thinner consistency, add a little more liquid as needed.

    3. Serve. Pour the smoothie into a chilled glass and enjoy!
