1 cup warm unsweetened non-dairy milk
¼ cup butternut squash puree
1 serving unflavored plant-based protein powder
⅛ tsp vanilla powder or ¼ vanilla extract
5 tsp cacao powder
2 tsp high-quality honey, pure maple syrup, or 1 pitted Medjool date
¼ tsp Ceylon cinnamon, plus more to taste
Sea salt, a pinch
FOR TOPPING
Homemade coconut whipped cream

Blend. To a high-speed blender, first add the warm non-dairy milk, canned butternut squash puree, dry ingredients, and sweetener of choice. Blend until smooth. If needed, you may need to add more liquid to achieve your desired hot chocolate consistency.
Serve. Pour into a mug with a dollop of homemade coconut whipped cream, if desired. Enjoy!
